The winemaking tradition of Rutini Wines was born at the beginning of the 19th Century, when Felipe Rutini started producing homemade wines for the citizens of his native town, Ascoli Pisceno, in Le Marche, Italy. He then emigrated to the Americas after getting a degree as Fatore agrario, in order to continue the winemaking tradition in the new world. In Coquimbito, Maipú, Mendoza, he planted his first vines. At the end of 1885, he began building a winery under the motto “Labor et perseverantia”.
For nearly a century, Rutini Wines has been a synonym of quality in Argentina. Following its founder´s innovating spirit, in 1925, Rutini Wines became a pioneer by planting the first vineyard in the Tupungato region within the Uco Valley.
In 2008 they began to build a new state of the art winery in that region. This new winery uses the latest technology available in its search for excellence were winemaking process are led by Mariano Di Paola, one of the top 30 winemakers in the world according to Decanter.
Rutini Wines was a pioneer of the Argentinian premium wine industry, and continues to maintain this essential component of their identity, thanks to the terroirs, state of the art installations, winemaker expertise, and most of all their dedication to consistently create superb quality wines.
